While Windows XP is good as the entertainment center in the
form of games, a complete music system and also fine for watching TV if you have
a large monitor, Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 is the way to go if you
really put a high value on your entertainment.
What is nice about XPMCE 2005 is that it is a superset of Windows XP, that
means that it can do everything that Windows XP can do plus more. Since I'm not
an expert at XPMCE 2005 I will provide some links that will give you some solid
information should you have an eye on this system.

While I'm still on the note of entertainment, you can check out this special offer
by VMC Satellite - Get a 4 Receiver Satellite
system installed for free and you may even sign up as an affiliate for them to
earn $50 whenever they give away a free Satellite Dish System.
Should you decide to go for the satellite system below and
plan to use it with XPMCE 2005, be aware of the footnote at the bottom of this Microsoft
page stating the following:
"Only HDTV via over-the-air is supported
in MCE 2005. HDTV delivered via satellite or digital cable is not supported at
this time."
I assume from above that NON-HDTV signals from satellite is
supported however, but please, if you plan to connect this satellite system to a
XPMCE 2005 system make sure that you will be able to receive the normal signals.
